Dr. Mario Andrade Gagliardo

Dr. Mario Andrade Gagliardo has a distinguished career of more than 25 years in practice, establishing himself as a leading figure in legal advice and strategic defense in matters of high complexity. His experience combines private practice, the management of public entities, senior administrative office and consultancy for national and international companies, allowing him to offer an integrated view of criminal, corporate and asset-related risk.

He holds a Doctorate in Jurisprudence and is an Attorney before the Courts of the Republic from the Central University of Ecuador. He completed postgraduate studies in Financial and Securities Law and in Tax Law at the Simón Bolívar Andean University.

Throughout his career he has held significant positions in the public sector, among them National Director of Corporate Services of the Ecuadorian Social Security Institute (IESS), Provincial Director of the IESS in Pichincha, Enforcement Judge of the IESS and General Administrative and Financial Coordinator of the Ministry of Industry and Productivity. He also served as Director of Human Resources and Administration of the Provincial Council of Pichincha, and as Legal Director and Director of the Mediation Centre of the María Antonieta Muñoz Cárdenas Foundation, in addition to acting as standing legal adviser to national and international companies.

His experience in positions of high responsibility within public administration has given him a deep knowledge of the institutional workings of the State, control systems, public procurement and administrative management — experience that today constitutes a strategic strength in defending proceedings involving economic crimes and offenses against public administration.

He is the author of El Arbitraje: Solución Efectiva para Conflictos, a work devoted to alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.
